王艳东教授于天津大学获得学士、硕士、博士,2004年到2013年一直在国外工作。2004年在德国国家环境与健康研究中心做博士后,2006年后在美国国家医学中心贝克曼研究所任Staff Scientist研究员,2011年任美国东北俄亥俄医科大学研究助理教授(Research Assistant Professor)。2013年5月以高层次人才引进到北京化工大学生命学院任教授和博导。在两个领域的研究具有建树:第一个是核受体和膜受体在炎症和癌症发病的分子机制方面的研究;第二个是在植物细胞培养提取药用成分以及蛋白质和天然产物药物的纯化和制备方面。在这两方面均做出了较有影响的国际学术贡献。发表SCI论文24篇(一区论文18篇),其中第一作者11篇,单篇影响因子达到12的研究论文6篇(其中2篇本人为通信作者,3篇为第一作者),SCI期刊总影响因子数达到135,参编国际专著2部(排名第一),国内专著2部,拥有科技成果一项。在核受体和膜受体在肝脏的损伤和再生,炎症和癌症发病的分子机制方面的研究已有一定影响,研究工作多次被国际上有影响的期刊和杂志专题报道和高度评价,其中发表的3篇第一作者论文和通讯作者论文被本领域杰出科学家经由Faculty of 1000 Biology推荐为研究人员需要阅读和掌握的重要论文。学术成果发表于国际肝病学排名第一的学术期刊Hepatology(6篇,SCI一区,影响因子11),Journalof Hepatology(SCI一区,影响因子为9.26),Cell Research(影响因子8.19),Molecular Endocrinology(SCI二区,影响因子为4.2)等国际TOP期刊。本人2011年和2013年在Hepatology上先后发表的2篇研究论文证明膜受体TGR5是炎症和癌症的抑制子,极有可能是高效的药物靶向。由于本人的学术贡献,本人多次被邀请出席国际药物研发会议,被邀请撰写药物研发专著和综述,并被同行推荐为多个SCI期刊的审稿人。
