Guo-PingGuoreceivedabachelor'sandPh.D.degreeinphysicsfromUniversityofScienceandTechnologyofChinain2000and2005,wherehefocusedontheresearchofquantumopticsandquantuminformationinatom,moleculeandopticssystems.HejoinedtheDepartmentofPhysicsatUSTCasanAssociateProfessorin2005.HewaspromotedtofullprofessorpositioninJulyof2009.
