Prof.JieZhangreceivedhisPh.D.inGeophysicsfromMITin1997.HepreviouslyworkedforMIT,Shell,USGS,andBlackhawkGeometrics.HefoundedGeoTomoLLCintheUSin1998,andheisnowservingasChairmanoftheCompanyBoard.HereturnedtoChinain2010andbecameaProfessorandDirectorofGeophysicalResearchInstituteatUSTC.Hisresearchinterestsincludeearthquakeseismologyandexplorationseismology.HeisaBoardDirectoroftheSocietyofExplorationGeophysics(SEG)Global,ChairmanofSEGChinaAdvisoryCommittee,andamemberofMITVisitingCommittee.
